Sitting by the fireplace, the carved quarry stones are full of stories that transport us to ancient times, outside the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The proximity of the Barranco de San Miguel invites us into hiking and a visit to the village which offers all the amenities (pool, restaurants, cafeterias, pharmacies, banks) to make our stay as completely as possible. This town is working with the tourism revitalization plan offering visitors and residents a wide variety of recreational and leisure activities.

House located next to the Barranco de San Miguel, near the town of Valsequillo. The chronicles say that the Castilian conquerors arrived (late 15th century) to the ravine now called San Miguel, where there was a significant aboriginal population, fought a bloody battle with Tecén Aboriginal leader who bravely defended the vicinity. In 1530 was built at this place a cavalry barracks, known as the headquarters of El Colmenar, rising around him several buildings linked to the military life. In front of the headquarters was Brigadier Sebastian Perez Macias, grandfather of the famous novelist Benito Perez Galdos. Today this is one of the most important historical heritage of Valsequillo.
